"Birthday breakfast" with the children, grandchildren etc. was nice. Almost everyone was there, and it was enjoyable. It is a tradition that perhaps has replaced the "birthday lunch or supper" with a birthday cake. A chance for everyone to meet and catch up.
Drive back was uneventful, except for some areas of heavy rain.
