2019 Spring May 15 Wednesday

69 degrees, 70% humidity

Exercise yesterday:

Walk:  20:53 minutes
Swim 17:15 minutes

Pace was 15 seconds slower than my goal.

Excellent day yesterday, up to low 80’s.  Supposed to get up to 87 degrees today.  Maybe Summer weather is finally here!

Went to a “pre-Kindergarten graduation”.  It was fun, but what was a real jolt was to see the t-shirts “Class of 2032” and realize how really close that was!

Somehow even “2020” seems far off, even though it is next year.  2032 seems like forever, but it is only one generation of school children off.

I have to admit I didn’t even realize there was such as thing as “pre-Kindergarten graduation” but I actually think it is a good idea. Too often we don’t recognize or celebrate our accomplishments.

When I think of it, “pre-kindergarten” to a 5 year old is quite a feat!  It is 20% of their lives so perhaps it is something to celebrate, a way to bring their first year of school to a conclusion and celebrate and recognize what they have learned.

It was also good to see all generations from babies to whatever age together for a common reason and event.

I can’t even imagine what it will be like for them, growing up where smart phones, computers and whatever are just “there” and nothing special.

I really expect the next “big thing” may be some type of Teleportation where we can travel, kind of like magic, from one place to another.  I don’t have any idea how it will work, but I expect our grandchildren and certainly our great-grandchildren.

I don’t think it is any more unbelievable than what has happened in my lifetime, from landing on the moon, to computers, GPS, smartphones, even credit cards and on-line purchasing.

Of course, we also didn’t have terrorism, school shootings being commonplace and have to deal with the long term destruction of the lying coward lunatic and his band of incompetent greedy cowards.

Actually the cultural, social and political changes of the greed, destruction, hatred, gross incompetence and vicious personal attacks by the lying coward lunatic  and his band of coward incompetents and the coward boot licking congress may be the hardest part  to deal with for the upcoming generations.

That’s it for now, Wednesday, May 15, 2019
