65 degrees this morning, walk 37;37 minutes
Strange that my walk yesterday was 38:38 minutes and my walk this morning was 37:37 minutes! I literally couldn’t have done that if I had tried! To the split second is amazing!
Cooler weather is apparently here, at least in spells.
I am still sitting on the outside patio, wondering how much longer it will be comfortable to do so.
I looked up when Fall of 2015 starts and was startled to find that it begins on September 23. I always thought it was the 20th or 21st. (Winter of 2015 starts on December 21, so that means the 2015 Fall is actually shorter than normal!
Have to say something about the continual rattle about bottled water. What in the world is wrong with bottled water? No one complains about bottled soft drinks, juice, tea, coffee etc. but some places even ban bottled water.
Believe me if everyone realized all of the chemicals that go into “regular” water (especially if it comes from a river or lake etc.) they would drink bottled water also!
Around here, the “lake turns” sometimes and drinking the water is simply not enjoyable. Doesn’t happen often, but it happens.
While I am sure all of the chemicals are “safe” as far as they know, and I drink the water in restaurants etc., I still don’t like ingesting the chemicals necessary to make water safe to drink, certainly not in the quantities I drink of water! If I have to, sure, but if I can drink bottled water, why not? I don’t drink almost anything else in bottles (I don’t drink carbonated beverages, or like items, so actually I am just substituting bottled water for those beverages!
Anyway, if they are going to ban bottled water they need to ban all beverages in bottles, or maybe even cans, depending on their reasoning.
Actually, I have seen canned water and the other day I even saw water in the old cardboard milk container type of container! (I didn’t buy any.)
Back to the low-carb style of eating! Actually it seems it is the only only eating pattern that helps me lose weight. I actually don’t do a true low-carb eating plan, I eat all the fruits and vegetables I want and don’t even count those carbs.
I do try to control bread and potatoes and foods with high “fast” carbs and avoid large amounts of sugar and especially fatty foods etc. if possible.
Due to our colds and the continual hacking coughs we haven’t used our YMCA membership near as much as we expected, but we enjoyed it when we used it, so I am sure we will be able to get back into the pattern soon.
I especially enjoy swimming. There is a joy in sliding through the water, even though I am not an accomplished swimmer by any means. I enjoy it until I get bored, which is about 20 minutes. If I go any longer than that, I will need to get a waterproof case for my iPod or my repurposed iPhones to listen to something!
Continued listening to the book about Elon Musk. Still being written in that breathless tone of a teenager talking about some teen heartthrob that can do no wrong. Still an interesting book, but would have been a lot better if not written in that “gee whiz” type of tone.
Delving more into the app “Whink”. Using it for both work and personal related items. I figure it will ether work well and be worth the time it takes, or I will quit using it because it isn’t worth the time it takes. Or it could end up like Evernote etc. and I use it occasionally, but don’t feel like I am using it to even close to it’s capacity.
